The staff at Dermatology Associates of West Texas is committed to providing excellent dermatological care for our patients. We believe it is our responsibility to treat our patients with dignity and respect while providing excellent medical care. We provide extensive dermatologic care that includes diagnosis and treatment of all conditions that pertain to the skin, hair and nails.
Brent Paulger, M.D.
Brent Paulger, M.D. is a native of West Texas, graduating from Idalou High School in 1985. After completing his residency in Dermatology, he opened the clinic in Lubbock in 1997. He continues to be active in academic medicine as a clinical assistant professor - instructing medical students and residents from Texas Tech Health Sciences Center.
Dr. Paulger is board-certified by the American Board of Dermatology and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. He has a special interest in the treatment of skin cancers with reconstruction and has extensive experience in Mohs micrographic surgery. He also treats general dermatologic disorders such as acne, psoriasis, eczema, vitiligo, auto-immune disorders of the skin, infectious disorders etc.

Keith Wisniewski, M.D.
Keith Wisniewski, M.D. is from the DFW metroplex and graduated from Kaufman High School in 1995. He moved to Lubbock where he attended Texas Tech University for college, medical school, and dermatology residency.
Dr. Wisniewski joined Dr. Paulger in 2008 after practicing for one year in the metroplex. In addition to private practice, he continues to be active in academic medicine as a clinical assistant professor - instructing medical students and residents from Texas Tech Health Sciences Center.
Dr. Wisniewski is board-certified by the American Board of Dermatology and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. He has a special interest in the treatment of skin cancer via Mohs surgery and reconstuctive surgery. He also treats general dermatologic disorders such as acne, psoriasis, eczema, vitiligo, auto-immune disorders of the skin, infectious disorders etc.

Ashley Sturgeon, M.D.
Dr. Sturgeon is a native of Midland. She graduated with honors from Texas Tech with a degree in Animal & Food Science, where she met her husband, Jason. She graduated with honors from Texas Tech Health Sciences Center School of Medicine. Dr. Sturgeon completed an internship in Internal Medicine, residency in Dermatology, and fellowship in Micrographic Surgery and Dermatologic Oncology. She is a partner with Dr. Brent Paulger and Dr. Keith Wisniewski at Dermatology Associates of West Texas and is a former president of the Lubbock County Medical Society. She is most proud of her teaching award from the Texas Medical Association and the Distinguished Alumni Award from the Animal and Food Sciences Department.
Dr. Sturgeon started the dermatology clinic at the Lubbock Impact Free Clinic, and continues to serve there today. She is the surgical director for the TTU Dermatology residency. She and Jason live in Wolfforth with their sons, Levi and Luke.
Meredith Pham, M.D.
Dr. Meredith Pham, a native of Albuquerque, New Mexico, earned her undergraduate and medical degrees at Texas Tech University in Lubbock. During medical school, she was recognized for her academic excellence by being elected into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society and honored for her compassionate patient care through induction into the Gold Humanism Honor Society.
Following medical school, Dr. Pham completed her internship in Internal Medicine at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. She continued her specialization in dermatology at the same institution, where she served as a chief resident during her final year.
Throughout her training, Dr. Pham contributed significantly to medical literature with numerous publications in dermatology and other medical journals, advancing knowledge in her field.
Dr. Pham practices a comprehensive approach to dermatology, encompassing medical, cosmetic, and surgical treatments. Outside of medicine, she enjoys outdoor activities, traveling to new destinations, and exploring culinary interests with her husband, Dr. Theo Pham.
Lisa Moyers, FNP-C
Lisa Moyers is a Certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She joined our practice September of 2018. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in nursing from Texas Tech University Health Science Center. While at Texas Tech University Health Science Center she was awarded Excellence in Nursing 2015, was on the President’s Honor roll and graduated Cum Laude.
She continued her studies at Texas Tech Health Science Center to obtain her Master’s in nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner. During her graduate studies she was elected to serve on the Master of Nursing Council as a student representative for Nurse Practitioners and upon graduation was invited into Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing.
Kristin O’Banion, FNP-C
Kristin O’Banion, is a board-certified family nurse practitioner recognized by the AANP. She has been in healthcare for twenty years, in various positions.
As an RN, she received several daisy award nominations and was voted nurse of the unit by her peers. She obtained her Bachelors and Masters degrees in nursing from the University of Texas at Arlington.She has experience in primary care as well as aesthetics.
While in her first year as a Family Nurse Practitioner she was awarded “people’s choice award”. This is a reflection of her positive interactions and outstanding care she gives her patients.
Kristin is excited to be joining the team. She has a passion for dermatology, and is eager help others love the skin they’re in. Her free time is spent with her husband, daughter and two dogs.
